Calling Kid Artists – Sign up to share your art!
The Roxborough Arts Council and the ROX Art Gallery are beginning work on the 14th Annual Banner Project for Kids. Each year we offer a free class for children ages 6 thru teens. Perhaps you have seen the banners prominently displayed around the Aspen Grove Center.
Registration is now open for these workshops. You can sign up in the gallery or call (720) 724-5730 to register your student(s) for either date:
Saturday 3/26 1:00 PM ages 6-9 2:30 PM ages 9-14
Sunday 3/27 1:00 PM ages 6-9 2:30 PM ages 9-14
Here are the details regarding the creation of banner artwork in a classroom setting at the gallery:
- Rox Art Gallery will determine a theme for the artwork
- Kids attend one workshop and create their design in pen and marker with the supervision of a Rox artist.
- Rox Arts Gallery artists scan the art, print, and sew the banners.
- Aspen Grove posts the banners for all to enjoy May through October
- Banners are returned to the students to hang in their room, garage, or other creative spots.
