Watercolor caught Julie Fisher's attention early on with its varied capabilities when applied to paper. Flowing of color, intermingling of pigments, and the light bouncing through the layers are intriguing.
Julie delights in painting still-life, small quiet outside areas, portraits and scenery. The subject needs to catch her attention. It may be the mood, color, varied edges, light and shadow, or composition creating possibilities in her mind's eye.
Julie has learned through different instructors, observed other artists present and past, and practiced a variety of techniques resulting in her own style of watercolor. Her ongoing desire to learn, observe, and paint provides fulfillment as a person and as an artist.
