Fiber Art

Having loved color, texture, fabric, and their relationship to each other for as long as I can remember, it was a natural transition for me to move from designing traditional quilts to creating fiber art pieces.

Primarily, I work with commercial batiks, and painted and hand-dyed textiles, pulling together a group that I find pleasing and seeing where it inspires me to go. I enjoy taking art pieces as far as possible with freeform cutting and machine piecing / embellishment. Most of my work is abstract or impressionistic with the hope of prompting an emotional, contemplative response. America’s National Parks have been and continue to be a source of personal and artistic inspiration.
