Marie Ungemah

Marie was born in Irvington, New Jersey. She graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. After graduation, Marie taught art in the Clifton, New Jersey Public School system before moving to Littleton, Colorado in 1978, where she now resides. Marie taught art in the continuing education department for Arapahoe Community College and several art workshops in the Denver Metro area. Marie worked with art representatives, interior designers, and exhibited in local galleries, mountain resorts, and nationally. She owned and operated the “La Galerie Iris” in downtown Littleton, a teaching studio and art gallery, for 10 years. Marie is an award-winning artist. Her proficiency in various techniques and materials, which defines her work, has both served her as a teacher and delighted her collectors.
