Shane, a former graphic artist, prepress specialist, technical sales engineer, and cybersecurity professional, has found his true passion in book carving. He spends his time in his studio, transforming discarded books into unique works of art that expose hidden images, diagrams, and phrases—revitalizing these forgotten tomes with new inspiration and renewed life. Shane, semi-retired from corporate life, now shares his passion with the world.

My artistic process mirrors life's journey, transforming discarded reference books into unique three-dimensional expressions. Delving into the unknown depths of sealed pages, I uncover hidden imagery, phrases, or diagrams, mirroring the unexpected joys and frustrations we encounter daily. Like no two lives are similar; facing a new career, family growth, life change, or just the daily grind, my creative journey embraces discovery, problem-solving, learning, and frustration, culminating in bespoke artwork that speaks to the world.

Born in southern Texas, Shane now resides in the Denver, Colorado suburbs with his wife of 36 years and two adorable jet-black cats.
