Steve Asay grew up in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was active in the arts from a young age, influenced primarily by his creatively involved mother. He attended the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design during the “pre-digital” era, where he learned the gamut of traditional media as it pertained to commercial art and illustration. He earned a BA in Illustration, and years later returned to school to earn a BS in Animation as well.

Steve’s work is primarily in pen-and-ink drawings and oil painting, but he loves to play around with different media. He specializes in artwork that is detailed and vibrant. Steve lives in Highlands Ranch with his family and faithful dog, Smores.
