Brad Loving
Ceramics
I am a Colorado native, where my wife and I raised our two daughters. I continue to enjoy time with my family, and my interests include skiing, sailing, fishing, and playing in two local bands.
My interest in art began while completing my internship at Fort Logan Hospital as part of my studies at the University of Northern Colorado. During that time, I was inspired by an occupational therapy pottery instructor who sparked my lifelong passion for ceramics. After graduation, I became a program coordinator with the Denver Recreation Department, where I developed and instructed art education programs for 16 years. My responsibilities included teaching pottery, ceramics, stained glass, and painting.
For the next thirty-plus years, I worked as a full-time ceramic artist specializing in slab construction. My work has been featured in art shows across the country and represented in galleries. In recent years, my creative interests have expanded to include assemblage construction and acrylic painting on canvas. I continue to explore and create within these mediums today.
