Tom Webb

Painting

Reflecting God’s glory through painting His creation.

Tom grew up in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from Colorado State University with a BFA in painting and graphic design. His work was influenced by Bruce Cody at CSU to paint in an impressionistic style, Phil Risbeck to design timelessly. Tom’s 45-year career in company branding began by designing logos which progressed to creating comprehensive national brands. He cofounded Bearings Branding.

Currently, Tom’s creative energies are applied to landscape painting in oil and acrylic. He applies his design sense to landscape painting with special attention on shape, color, and negative space. Tom’s approach to landscape painting is to focus attention to what is most interesting and unexpected. Tom’s main interest is on expressing the substance and splendor of God’s creation, offering the viewer a fresh perspective on the natural world, and finding joy in the beauty of what has been made. In addition to landscape painting, Tom also does commission work to honor something special – a person, location, or event called “Legacy Canvas.”

Beyond painting, Tom is passionate about most things outdoors including cycling, fly fishing, golf, and skiing. Tom lives in Centennial, Colorado, with his wife Laura, they have three adult children.
